A Simple Side for Your Adventures! 🔥🥗
Grilled Caesar Salad is a game changer—easy to make, requires minimal effort, and adds that smoky, charred twist perfect for outdoor dining!
You can always go for store-bought dressing, but I highly recommend whipping up a quick homemade Caesar — I’ve got a simple recipe you’ll love!
Ingredients: (serves 2)
- 1 heart of romaine lettuce, sliced in half lengthwise
- 1/4 to 1/2 baguette (depending on size)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 tsp white, granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh Parmesan, shaved (grab your veggie peeler!)
- 2-3 tbsp Caesar dressing
Let’s get it grilling!
- Preheat your grill to medium heat — get it nice and hot for those amazing grill marks.
- Slice the baguette into 3/4-inch pieces. Mix the olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Brush this flavorful oil mixture on the cut side of the romaine and both sides of the bread slices. Sprinkle the sugar on the cut sides of the lemon halves.
- Place the romaine, bread slices, and lemon halves on the grill. Cook the romaine for about 3 minutes — just enough to get a slight char without over-doing it. Toast the bread slices for around 3 minutes per side until crispy but not tough. Grill the lemon halves for about 3 minutes until grill marks appear.
- Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the grilled romaine hearts on a plate, top with the crispy bread, shaved Parmesan, and a drizzle of your favorite Caesar dressing. Finish by squeezing over the grilled lemon halves for a bright, zesty finish!
